Limerston Capital portfolio company Empowering People Group announces fifth acquisition

Limerston Capital Partners Limited (“Limerston Capital”) is pleased to announce that Limerston Capital Partners I, L.P. portfolio company Empowering People Group (“Empowering People” or the “Group”) has entered into a definitive agreement to acquire Mentor Advisory Services Ltd (“Mentor”) from NatWest Group. The transaction is expected to complete in Q3 2026.
With the support of financial sponsor Limerston Capital, Empowering People Group has agreed to acquire its fifth business in Mentor, which was launched in 1997 to provide Employment Law and HR, health & safety and environmental solutions to UK SMEs. Mentor’s strong base of qualified consultants helps businesses to stay on top of legal and regulatory changes, maintain compliance and reduce risk. The business also offers a free digital support platform, MentorDigital, which provides compliance guidance, tools and templates for SMEs.
Limerston created Empowering People Group, a provider of digitally-enabled HR solutions and expert advice through buy-and-build. The business gained a reputation for specialist technology and innovative HR, change and employment law solutions that drive business performance through people performance. The acquisition of Mentor is transformational for Empowering People Group, adding a business of comparable size to the rest of the group with a notable specialism in the UK SME market.
