Analytical Expert Labs is a leading provider of analytical and biological testing and services, delivered across three UK-based specialist laboratories across London, Oxfordshire and Yorkshire. The group boasts a range of accreditations including ISO/IEC 17025:2017 as well as being compliant with the MHRA’s Good Laboratory Practice (GLP) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) standards, the Forensic Science Regulator’s (FSR) Codes of Practice & Conduct and the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) G19 standard.
With a team of c.150 employees, the group delivers a variety of services including forensic toxicology, clinical trial bioanalysis, therapeutic drug monitoring, DNA testing, other niche services across biology and chemistry, as well as consultancy and expert witness support.
What we're doing
Having acquired the original platform, from the founders in early 2020 in an off-market process, Limerston has supported the business in the development and execution of a targeted buy-and-build strategy, adding new specialisms to the group, as well as opening up new sector and geographical end-markets, with the acquisitions of Analytical Services International Ltd, Forensic Testing Service Ltd and Alecto Forensics.
Limerston’s in-house operating team, supported by external partners, has supported the integration of the businesses with a group-wide ERP system covering finance, CRM and people, as well as supporting management on organic growth strategies and capital project execution.
Today, the group serves end markets including legal services, government agencies, healthcare and pharma, operating out of three state-of-the-art laboratories working to internationally recognised quality standards.
